Career Opportunities in Bangladesh Army

There are several ways to join the Bangladesh Army, depending on your qualifications:

1. As a Commissioned Officer

  • 56th BMA Long Course (for fresh graduates)
  • Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC)
  • Special Purpose Short Service Commission (SPSSC)

Eligibility:

  • Must have completed HSC/A-level (for BMA Long Course) or a bachelor’s degree (for DSSC/SPSSC).
  • Meet physical and medical requirements.
  • Pass written, oral, and ISSB (Inter-Services Selection Board) tests.

2. As a Soldier (Sainik)

  • Minimum SSC or equivalent.
  • Pass physical, medical, and written tests.

3. As an Army Medical Officer

  • Requires an MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.
  • Must pass the Army Medical Corps selection process.

4. As an Engineer, IT Specialist, or Technical Officer

  • Engineers, IT professionals, and technical experts can join through DSSC or SPSSC.
  • Relevant academic background is required.
